UCAS POOCAS

its that time of year when we need to write those 4000 characters which will determine the next 3/4years of our lifes; AAAAAARGH! ive followed my usual ethics to deadlines and left it to the last minute; ow how i wish my attitudes differed in such cases.

once again my boy's gone to work in sunny Abu Dhabi whilst the snow is falling here in Grimsby, but i have no complaints about the weather, just his absence

OF THE COLOUR BETWEEN BLUE AND YELLOW IN THE SPECTRUM; COLOURED LIKE GRASS OR EMERALDS

my brother said these jeans give me a granny bum- i love granny bum!
im a new employee at BHS allowing my to get this £10 topshop crop for £5.50 cheers to arcadia discounts!

BLUNDER PLUNDER

my first 9 weeks at art school has flown by, ive now specialised in fine art so will be back in my home comforts for the rest of the year :) ive enjoyed testing out the other specialisms during the rotations- design and fashion but glad to be doing what i enjoy the most.

the theme of the design rotation was 7, not the most riveting or enthralling theme. i found it difficult to come up with something interesting to base my work on but eventually settled for the literal interpretation and stuck with the number 7. this was the ending result...

i LOVE the outcome.there are 7 decorative hangings- my tedious link!there were three sections in the design rotation, 3D, graphics and photography. the 3D aspect is obvious, i photographed the dream catcher and put some instagram filters on as my photography aspect (ha) and made up some random organic interior design company which would be selling the dream catcher, just to please my graphics tutor.

i also had to create a concept board, possibly the most fun thing involving words. james and i made it into a study sesh.

ps james is back in abu dhabi d/boooooo again :(

LONG TIME

been out and about recently machester, hull, london- to the v&a and tate modern, the v&a was beautiful.. since james' generosity purchased me an iphone all other forms of of technology have been none existent. my creativity has flourished recently, creating small none time consuming studies.

3 minute ink, water colour sketch of my tutor using my opposite hand- right hand although stated left, wups.

tits fashion illustration based on Cecily Browns work.

3D sculpture displaying tensegrity. all materials in the workshop had been used up so i decided to be resourceful and go twig picking. this represents the yoga pose king dance pose.

my fashion ration work was based on Cecily Brown; i had to collect a series of photocopies, fitting my theme, to experiment with emulation printing, this was the result...

make shift fancy dress for a halloween gig Valys played

james' fancy dress started as slender man, by the end of the night a classic representation of a stella artois drinker

i made myself a head wreath to be worn as part of a sugar skull get up but never got to wear it :(

got some high waisted jeans from hull, my first pair of jeans since i was about 13; i've missed the denim!

SKYPEMANCE

james' roof top view

SKYPEMANCE! we can still smoke together :)

james will be bringing me these home as a holiday gift, my first pair!

SHE LANDED BADLY, AND CRAWLED AWAY

last week i had a life drawing, visual studies class with the purpose to develop proportion. the original proportion techniques were ok however i prefer to compare one body part to another for example the shin is the same length as the belly etc, to achieve proportion. although, i do believe i should have another go at the techniques i got taught as they're obviously proven to work.

i found terry's right arm rather difficult and my usual difficulty arose of the angling of the shoulders. i often use this colour technique when doing a quick sketch and really enjoy it. i used water colour pencils for an intense colour however decided not to use them wet to keep it crisp. overall im pleased with the outcome considering the time in which it was created within.

THE REASON FOR WHICH SOMETHING EXISTS

finally the main purpose of this blog has arrived; to document my year undertaking the art foundation. i have just completed the fine art rotation with an abstract theme, not my favourite nor most talented area but i found that it really allowed me to free up and have fun with colour. during my research i discovered a wonderful woman who goes by the name of cecily brown...

'the girl who had everything' was the first painting i saw of browns and i was amazed; i love the fleshy tints and the hidden figures which allowed me to get lost within the painting with fascination unlike other abstract works. i get an intense raunchy, intimate vibe form her work which is simply magical!

ps, my dearest rhy rhy has left to study history, ill miss her greatly :(

TABBY CAT

This is to demonstrate how i am doing sweet F all today whilst my family prepare for their first ever camping expedition without me :( i really wish i was going to exploit my sketchbook to a weekends worth of abuse. my evenings events are likely to consist of my body absorbing one too many larger 'n' limes/raspberry sambucas.

WOD UP DOC?

i finally purchased some classic 8 eye DM's today, my boss let me bid for them at work on his lappy which i thought was a rather kind gesture. i wonder if by wearing them people will think im one of the hot bbz from this is england?

i did a little painting today; i predominately work in oil but im trying to broaden my spectrum of media, so today (as a follow on from the previous few days) ive been working in water colour. i really enjoy the speed an effective piece can be created and the resulting vibrancy of colours. id really like to achieve a better technique when using water colour so i think im gonna pursue the experimentation of the medium- i cant wait!

OH MANDY

Last night i stayed up far too late with the lights on: a family of moths entered my room and the big daddy moth wouldn't leave me be. I vacated so they could camp for the night by themselves.

Today im meeting up with my friend George for a long awaited catch up.
